The VC panels at Google Cloud Next '25

The VC panels at Google Cloud Next '25 were nothing short of eye-opening. We gained powerful insights into what top investors are truly looking for, and how to shape a compelling business strategy in this rapidly evolving space.

One of the standout sessions featured Molly Welch (Radical Ventures), Crystal Huang (GV (Google Ventures)), and Janelle Teng (Bessemer Venture Partners) in a dynamic discussion on the future of startup funding. Their panel, “Decode the Future of Startup Funding,” emphasized the importance of aligning your company’s vision with emerging technologies, communicating your traction clearly, and demonstrating a repeatable, scalable model from day one.

Another valuable talk came from Brentt Baltimore (Greycroft) during the Google Cloud VC AMA Series. He reminded founders that VCs aren’t looking for a pitch deck tossed in their lap, they’re looking for partnerships. Real traction, real collaboration, and real solutions. It’s about solving a mutual problem, not just fundraising.

At Novel Therapeutics, we’re reimagining drug discovery by combining machine learning with plant-based molecules to create new therapies with real clinical impact. These conversations helped us refine how we tell our story, not just as a research company, but as a platform for scalable innovation.
